The Journey

Stories Behind the Research

From remembrance to research. From experience to advocacy.

The Journey is my personal account of the experiences, people, decisions, successes, failures, questions and lessons that shaped the path from a memorial mission to youth sports research and reform.

This is where I step away from the spreadsheets, financial models, public records and formal reports to tell the human story behind them. Each chapter follows the journey as it unfolded—one experience, one question and one turning point at a time.

The Story, One Chapter at a Time

These posts follow the journey chronologically. The goal is not to rewrite the past with what I know today, but to preserve what I understood at the time and then reflect on what years of experience, documentation and research later revealed.
