A tournament schedule tells families where to play, which age divisions are offered and what entry fees appear on an event listing. It usually does not tell taxpayers which organization receives field rental payments, who collects admission revenue, who operates concessions or how municipal costs are recovered. Day 15 reviews the historical USSSA baseball event records associated with Matt Purser, with particular attention to Moore’s Buck Thomas Park and events that also identify Norman, Oklahoma City or Del City facilities. This is a recordkeeping and public-facility inquiry, not a finding about anyone’s conduct or financial circumstances.

Source-priority breakthrough: This installment reprocessed the complete AIUSSSA - Hidden Valley Integrity Of The Game.csv, not merely a director inventory. The separately named AIUSSSA - HVIOG 9-20-2026.csv is byte-for-byte identical (SHA-256 c8687be7b0543922e4…). The file records 449 Matt Purser division entries. All derived counts below were checked against the raw rows; a director-level inventory is background, not the controlling source. The records document listings and estimated workloads; they do not prove every event took place.

What the primary records show

449Division records
3,249Team-event-division entries
$461,599Calculated advertised gross entry fees
8,593Listed minimum-game equivalents
14,014Modeled officiating-assignment equivalents
5Cross-county possible-site events

All 449 records are categorized as baseball. The five USSSA season labels are 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024; event start dates run from February 29, 2020 to November 4, 2023. A 2024 USSSA season entry may therefore describe a fall 2023 event; season does not necessarily equal the actual calendar year. These years establish activity within the available file only, not the individual’s entire career or current affiliation.

Counting rule: 449 divisions do not equal 449 tournaments. Events were deduplicated using the source season plus the parent tournament identifier; this yielded 67 event groups, each corresponding to one distinct original USSSA event-home URL. The 3,249 team entries count participation in event divisions and may include a team appearing repeatedly across weekends. They are not 3,249 unique teams or registrations.

Fee calculation: on each division row, recorded teams × listed team entry price = calculated advertised gross entry fees. Summing the 449 division results yields $461,599, with 449/449 arithmetic matches. This is a theoretical gross based on posted data, not proof that any fees were paid, deposited, retained, refunded or disbursed to any particular party.

Missing primary recordsField permits, event financial ledgers, deposit reports, refund logs, concession agreements, contractor invoicesCannot determine who paid or received amounts

The separate source fields labeled TotalEventGate, TotalEventConcession or TotalEventIncome are calculation fields, not authenticated financial statements. Their names should never be read as an audit of revenue. The cancellation and league labels are event-title indicators, not independently verified status codes. One archived event group uses ten distinct dollar-suffixed event-title variants while retaining a single underlying event identifier; that variation does not create ten tournaments.

Inventory-to-event-level scope correction: The September 20 director inventory also reports 67 events, 449 divisions, 3,249 entries, $461,599 posted fee arithmetic, 8,593 game equivalents and 14,014 official-assignment equivalents; all six principal measures reconcile exactly to the controlling rows. Its “3 counties,” “6 municipalities” and “7 facilities” are counts of distinct text labels, not counts of three different Oklahoma counties, six distinct cities or seven distinct physical sports venues. Decomposing the combined labels produces two counties (Cleveland and Oklahoma), four actual named municipalities (Moore, Norman, Oklahoma City and Del City), and five separately named venues. The two additional facility-label values are combined-site strings. This distinction matters for public reporting and prevents inflated facility or county counts.

The greatest volume of listed activity appears in the 2021 USSSA season: 21 distinct events, 1,445 team-event-division entries and $225,021 in calculated advertised entry fees. These season summaries cannot be converted into annual personal income or field revenue; no verified payer, payee or bank-account information accompanies the dataset.

Facilities, verified locations and geographical uncertainty

The source contains seven distinct facility-field labels, but two of the seven are combined strings naming multiple sites, not separate newly constructed sports complexes. Each division row contributes to one row of the table even when that row names two parks. Present-day municipal sites corroborate individual park addresses, but historical ballfield usage agreements and actual playing-field allocations have not been independently produced.

Buck Thomas Park’s current municipal address is 1903 NE 12th Street, Moore, OK 73160; the seven-label table attributes $422,356 in calculated entry fees to rows naming Buck Thomas Park alone. This is not an amount received by the City of Moore. The facility’s current public park status does not, by itself, demonstrate which operator controlled its baseball diamonds for each historical tournament.

The dataset associates Reaves Park with Norman’s 2501 Jenkins Avenue and Griffin Ballpark with 1001 E Robinson Street. Current City of Norman sources support those park locations, but do not authenticate the historical event’s assigned field or an individual permit. The Battlefields address of 6011 S Anderson Road, Oklahoma City comes from the dataset; an authoritative property-ownership document was not verified, so this article does not assume it is a taxpayer-funded facility. The high school campus at 1900 S Sunnylane Road, Del City is address-verified by the Mid-Del district; its event rental terms remain unknown.

Facility-owner or renter information could distinguish a municipal park, a public-school campus and a privately operated venue. A tournament director listing does not identify the permit holder, concession licensee, ticketing organization or ultimate beneficiary of any sale.

The primary-facility county rule: five events still unresolved

Our county rule assigns an entire event to the county of its verified primary facility. This avoids manufacturing extra events or charging one tournament to two county totals. The September 20 rows support two different, legitimate views, provided they are not added together: a division-label geography and a stricter event-primary-county ledger.

The Cleveland-only line means no listed alternative outside Cleveland County for those event identifiers, not that we have inspected a primary-facility reservation for each tournament. The five mixed-county events are assigned no final primary county pending schedules, brackets, reservation agreements or original operator correspondence.

An event might have 15 divisions at one park and a single division elsewhere, or might move because of weather. Neither a majority of rows nor a present-day address proves its contractual primary venue. The unresolved $58,910 is therefore a research allocation rather than evidence of payments to either county.

Original USSSA director references and event / schedule evidence

The September dataset’s supplementary director crosswalk records an individual USSSA locator with director ID 7235954: Historical USSSA individual-director locator. The page could not be independently rendered during this review; it is a source locator, not confirmation of current credentials or position. The general USSSA director finder is provided separately.

Three independent, publicly readable USSSA score-result pages substantiate historical director attribution and display links labeled Pool Schedule; each page covers a particular age division of a broader tournament. In this review, following some schedule links redirected to a general USSSA page instead of opening the historical schedule, so full original pool schedules are not independently recovered. Different age-group result pages must not be counted as additional distinct tournaments.

  • Labor Day 4gg Blowout — September 4, 2020, 10U — results page identifies Matt Purser, displays a Pool Schedule link and provides bracket results.
  • Cinco de Mayo Classic — April 30, 2021, 12U — official score results, pool schedule and division standings.
  • Pack the Park Pink — September 30, 2023, 9U — official participant results and schedule links.

Each of the 67 historical event groups below also includes its original event-home URL copied verbatim from the controlling CSV, and the downloadable source ledger retains the historical season-search locator. Some legacy event-home URLs no longer render in a modern browser; their presence is evidence of the dataset’s archived pointer, not proof that a live USSSA page was opened or that an event was completed.

Entry fees, admission gates and hypothetical concession net proceeds

First distinguish the money: $461,599 is a calculation from the dataset’s recorded team counts and posted entry prices. The source separately outputs $1,935,400 as a hypothetical total gate model by counting listed calendar days, including extended league spans. That model is not a gate receipt ledger, and should not be described as admissions actually taken. It cannot be added to published entry-fee activity and called anyone’s profit.

To create comparable, transparent alternatives, this article imposes short, explicit admission-day assumptions rather than treating every calendar day as a charged gate. All models assume 20 paying spectators per team-event-division entry per charged day, a $5 blended ticket price, hypothetical gross concession sales = 50% of modeled gate, concession operating costs = 80% of hypothetical gross concession sales, and thus net concession proceeds = 20% of gross concession sales. These are research assumptions, not published admissions or concession-price data. Some events could have had free admission, different charges, no concessions or alternative collecting parties.

GATE = team-event entries × assumed paid days × 20 spectators × $5
GROSS CONCESSIONS = modeled gate × 0.50
CONCESSION COSTS = gross concessions × 0.80
HYPOTHETICAL NET CONCESSIONS = gross concessions − modeled costs = gate × 0.10
Alternative scenario (do not add rows)Team-entry-daysHypothetical gateHypothetical gross concessionsAssumed concession costsHypothetical net concessions
All listed entries — one charged day3,249$324,900$162,450$129,960$32,490
All listed entries — two charged days6,498$649,800$324,900$259,920$64,980
Screened other event listings — one charged day2,488$248,800$124,400$99,520$24,880
Screened other event listings — two charged days4,976$497,600$248,800$199,040$49,760
Cancellation / league sensitivity: The screened scenarios omit 7 event titles explicitly containing a cancellation indicator (126 listed team entries) and 8 league-labelled event identifiers (635 listed entries). These sets do not overlap. The remaining 52 event identifiers have 2,488 team-event entries and $406,922 in posted fee arithmetic. Screening is a conservative attendance-model choice, not proof that the 15 omitted listings generated no actual transactions or games. These four scenarios are alternatives, not four revenue streams; never add them together.

Illustrative worked example for the screened two-day scenario: 2,488 × 2 × 20 × $5 = $497,600 hypothetical gate; $497,600 × 50% = $248,800 hypothetical gross concession sales; $248,800 × 80% = $199,040 assumed direct/operating concession costs; $248,800 − $199,040 = $49,760 hypothetical net concession proceeds. This last number is not tournament net, director income, city revenue or accounting profit. Actual net concession proceeds could differ substantially, including being zero.

No scenario subtracts verified umpire checks, insurance, field rental, sanitation, hotel costs, payment processing, refunds, taxes, sanctioning, contractor expense or other production expenses because the required transaction-level data are missing. Gate rights and concession rights might belong to different organizations. Consequently, do not sum $461,599 with any hypothetical gate or concession figure as though all money belonged to the same recipient; that would also risk duplicating the same consumer spending assumptions in incompatible models.

Public-facility questions worth answering with records

  • For each Buck Thomas Park weekend, what signed permit, use agreement or league allocation established who could reserve the diamonds and for how long?
  • Were field rental, maintenance, lighting, cleanup, staffing and insurance costs documented, and what amounts were actually billed, paid or waived?
  • Who was authorized to collect team registration charges, daily admission and concession sales, and did the contract require revenue sharing or audit statements?
  • What municipal budget lines or enterprise accounts recorded deposits and direct operating expenses associated with youth tournament use?
  • For the five mixed-county events, what original brackets, field schedules or municipal calendars establish the event’s contractual primary facility?
  • Which authority approved access at Del City High School, and is there a public-school rental policy and receipt ledger for the historical dates?
  • Which current site address corresponds to the historical label “Griffin Ballpark,” and what evidence identifies the specific field?
  • Were events explicitly marked “Cancelled” actually called off, refunded, postponed or renamed; what contemporaneous notices resolve the discrepancy?
  • Were facilities available to local youth leagues on equivalent published terms, and how were scheduling conflicts or fee waivers recorded?
  • What corrective process exists when a historical USSSA listing incorrectly identifies a director, facility, event date or team count?

These questions are directed to relevant record custodians, facility operators and contracting entities. The existence of a public park does not necessarily make every tournament operator a government actor; conversely, public facilities can have legitimate negotiated use and revenue arrangements. The purpose is to verify those arrangements where records are available.

Complete 67-event historical identifier ledger

This abridged article table is an index of the 67 original event identifiers, not 67 independently confirmed completed tournaments. All listed team and fee totals are drawn from the event’s division records; the CSV source ledger includes minimum games, assignment estimates, full source-location text, county uncertainty and legacy season-search URLs.

USSSA tournament seasons can begin in the preceding calendar year. The event URLs are retained from the September 20 source; current individual-page availability varies. No event in this ledger is counted more than once even where multiple division records or multiple facilities appear.

Source citations, audit exports and limitations

  • Controlling dataset: September 20, 2026 AIUSSSA - Hidden Valley Integrity Of The Game.csv. Local research source; no public download URL invented. SHA256 begins c8687be7b0543922e41563a2; exact matching copy named AIUSSSA - HVIOG 9-20-2026.csv.
  • Independent event results: Labor Day 2020; Cinco de Mayo 2021; Pack the Park Pink 2023.
  • Municipal address sources: Moore Buck Thomas; Norman Reaves; Norman Griffin; Del City High School.
  • Series history: Baseball Heaven series archive. This Day 15 article is prepared, not posted.

Companion audit exports comprise the 67-event history, the 449-row fee reconciliation, the primary-source register and a calculation-and-county-methodology note. No park permit, agreement, sales ledger, proof of admission receipts, actual concession cost statement or current individual director biography was verified in this analysis.

Standing research disclaimer & corrections invitation

Baseball Heaven / Integrity of the Game is an independent educational and historical research effort and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of USSSA, the individuals named, the facilities, their operators or any government agency. The appearance of Matt Purser or any other person or organization does not allege or imply misconduct, improper handling of money, or wrongdoing. The tournament datasets and publicly available event listings may be incomplete, inaccurate, subsequently changed, cancelled or lacking context. Verified facts are separated from unresolved fields and hypothetical illustrations.

Published fee calculations are modeled gross event-entry activity, not proven collected income. A team-event-division entry is not necessarily a unique team. Minimum games and umpire assignments are source-derived theoretical requirements, not evidence that each game occurred or that a named person was paid. The gate and concession examples are hypothetical, not collected receipts, municipal earnings, personal profits or audited net margins. Combined multi-site listings are never counted twice, and cross-county events remain unresolved until primary-facility evidence is produced.

Corrections invited: Directors, families, operators, municipal custodians and others with dated brackets, notices, USSSA links, actual facility permits, deposit reports, admission schedules, concession contracts or other original documentation may write to Kenneth@BCMSports.net. Please identify the event, the date, the source record and the proposed correction; substantive corrections should be documented and dated when incorporated.
