The 2004 season is no longer a handful of old files.
The completed master inventory establishes 2004 as the deepest surviving year in the recovered Shawnee Youth Baseball collection. The records document the local league, multiple tournament weekends, financial and operational worksheets, hotel-impact tracking, USSSA workflows, and an early web-based tournament administration system.
2004 Website Navigation — Historical Reconstruction
Five labels keep the history honest.
The rebuilt archive separates what a primary source says from arithmetic, changing versions, historical interpretation and information the surviving files do not establish.
League play, qualifiers, tournaments and national pathways.
The recovered March–August calendar and event files provide a season-long framework. Not every calendar listing is necessarily a Shawnee-hosted event; the archive preserves the source wording without assigning host status where the record does not establish it.
Preseason / Registration
Player applications preserve league registration fees, family discounts, voting membership, coaching-interest fields, medical release language and tryout communication.
March 2004
National and World Qualifier listings appear with A/AA and AAA/Major classifications and published entry-fee levels.
April 2004
Qualifier activity continues while the local league schedule begins April 19. The four age-band schedules run into June.
May 2004
Multiple tournament records survive, including a May event with Shawnee/Oklahoma Braves entries and the May 29–30 Memorial Weekend Tournament with final results.
June 2004
The June 11–13 tournament survives across public team listings, internal ledgers, brackets and a dedicated UMP Finance worksheet. USSSA state-tournament references also appear.
July 2004
The calendar records a Dizzy Dean State Tournament and an “AA” Nationals block later in the month.
August 2004
The surviving calendar is largely blank. The historical archive preserves that absence rather than inventing activity.
The recreational league can be reconstructed from registration through the schedule.
Registration & Membership
The 2004 player application records a $60 standard fee, discounted early-registration levels, a multiple-player family discount, and an optional $10 adult voting membership tied to Board-election eligibility.
Four Age Bands
The recovered regular-season schedule contains 5–6, 7–8, 9–10 and 11–12 divisions, representing 20 documented team slots.
Braves in League Play
The 9–10 schedule repeatedly documents a Braves team during the local Shawnee Youth Baseball season, including a surviving 12-game scheduled slate.

This event is one of the strongest result-based records in the 2004 archive because the surviving Excel-to-Web package contains both brackets and a dedicated tournament-results worksheet.

The event existed as an Excel 11 web workbook with clickable Results, 9U, 10U, 11U and 12U tabs.
Post-event evidence
The workbook was saved after the tournament weekend, giving the archive stronger result evidence than a preliminary schedule alone.

Twenty-year-old operational records provide a historical baseline.
The archive contains public prices and internal working records. The rebuilt page keeps those categories separate from modeled or estimated revenue.
What is documented
Entry-fee schedules, gate prices, USSSA-related fees, umpire-cost worksheets, trophy expense, rain/refund rules, team lists and event-level operating calculations survive in the archive.
What is not documented
A published gate price is not a gate-revenue total. Without paid-attendance evidence, the archive does not convert admission prices into total cash receipts.
The website was already measuring local hotel use.
The recovered hotel survey asked teams whether they stayed locally, how many rooms they used, which hotel they selected, whether they recommended the hotel and for comments. That makes lodging/economic-impact tracking part of the documented tournament workflow.

Why the strange filenames matter
Files such as sheet001.htm, tabstrip.htm, filelist.xml and stylesheet.css are not random leftovers. Together they are component parts of the original Excel-generated web applications.
