Tony Taylor: Moore Softball, Buck Thomas Park & the Public Record

Eight USSSA seasons of publicly listed softball activity, with a close examination of league records, tournaments, site associations and the crucial difference between documented participation and financial assumptions.

Softball researchUSSSA seasons 2019–2026Moore & ChoctawPublic records / no accusations

The fields are public-facing. The numbers require context. Today’s research examines historical USSSA softball event records associated with Tony Taylor, primarily at Buck Thomas Park in Moore, Oklahoma, with a smaller documented association at Bouse Sports Complex in Choctaw. Our question is not whether an individual did something wrong. It is what event schedules can reliably tell residents about activity at sports facilities—and what requires contracts, accounting records and direct verification.

Our guiding principle: Public information should lead to informed questions, not unsupported accusations. Nothing in this profile establishes any individual’s compensation, ownership of event proceeds, contracts, tax status or wrongdoing.

Scope: All 289 activity rows are coded as Softball. They represent eight USSSA season labels, rather than eight verified calendar years of continuous service. The earliest recorded event begins March 25, 2019; the latest ends May 22, 2026. A USSSA 2026 season includes events that occurred in calendar 2025. An event is counted once using its distinct historical USSSA event URL; each division is counted separately for team and fee mathematics. 2,538 team entries are not 2,538 unique organizations or verified paid registrations.

Source priority and reconciliation: The controlling source is the latest available AIUSSSA - Hidden Valley Integrity Of The Game.csv research copy (uploaded October 12, 2026). Its 83 event URLs, 289 rows, 2,538 team entries, $388,069 calculated fees, 10,041 modeled games and 16,758 modeled assignments match the September 20, 2026 director inventory. The older inventory is a cross-check only; it is not treated as an additional population. No events or fees from that inventory are added again.

Season-by-season historical record

The year below is the USSSA season label, not necessarily the calendar year of play. Event totals are deduplicated before aggregation; the division counts and financial calculations come from the event’s constituent divisions.

What the growth in 2022 means: The largest calculated entry-fee season in this record is 2022 at $134,964, from 19 distinct event records, 71 divisions and 677 team entries. That is a concentration of scheduled gross posted fees in the available data, not a finding about revenue collected, retained, or earned by Tony Taylor, the facility owner, or any group.

Facilities, addresses and the municipality question

Four different facility-configuration strings appear in the 289 rows. Some are multi-site descriptions; treating all associated entry fees as revenue at every named field would improperly duplicate the same records. The following classification preserves each division’s complete original facility string as exactly one financial category.

Addresses and independent location checks

Named physical siteCity / county contextLocation evidence & qualification
Buck Thomas ParkMoore / Cleveland County (dataset classification)1903 NE 12th St., Moore, OK 73160. Confirmed by City of Moore Parks & Recreation. The site’s public ownership context is documented; individual USSSA financial rights are not.
Bouse Sports ComplexChoctaw / Oklahoma County1333 N. Indian Meridian Rd., Choctaw, OK 73020. Supported by the City of Choctaw’s detailed facility page and the research dataset. A separate City site lists 1313; the city should clarify the address discrepancy for parcel-specific inquiries.
Mid-America Christian UniversityOklahoma City / county attribution for this particular multi-site event not independently established3500 SW 119th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73170. Confirmed by the university’s official site. This is a named associated campus, not a verified share of event revenue or documented field-use allocation.
Southmoore High SchoolMoore / school-district location2901 S. Santa Fe, Moore, OK 73160. Confirmed by Moore Public Schools. Listed with two other fields for one division; no division-level financial split is shown.
Westmoore High SchoolOklahoma City / school-district location12613 S. Western, Oklahoma City, OK 73170. Confirmed by Moore Public Schools. The city address differs from the row’s single primary municipality label (Moore).
Geography and ownership are separate questions. The dataset identifies two primary municipality labels (Moore and Choctaw) and two primary county labels (Cleveland and Oklahoma). Its multi-facility configurations additionally name Oklahoma City locations. Do not interpret the two-city summary as an exhaustive municipal footprint, or the Cleveland County label on a multi-site event as verified parcel-level jurisdiction for every listed location. Public parks, schools, and private university sites may have different owners and use agreements.

Why one event can involve multiple facilities

One 2019 MGSA Tune Up For World division (16 teams; $3,536 calculated fees) lists Buck Thomas Park, Southmoore High School and Westmoore High School together. Six other division rows (79 team entries; $17,915 calculated fees) list Buck Thomas Park and Mid-America Christian University together. These figures are already inside the $388,069 overall total. Assigning either combined figure in full to each facility would double- or triple-count activity. The available listing does not establish where individual games were played or how any payments were allocated.

The dataset records 24 team entries and $3,600 in calculated gross fees at Bouse Sports Complex in a single USSSA 2026-season event dated October 26, 2025. This is an event association at a Choctaw public facility, not proof of an agreement with the city or of proceeds received by any particular person.

What the entry-fee figure actually measures

Calculated gross entry fees = sum across age-division rows of (teams entered × publicly posted entry fee). The complete Tony Taylor population produces $388,069 by that method. The calculation assumes the historical team and fee listings are accurate, but does not establish actual registrations paid, discounts, refunds, complimentary entries, transfers, accounts receiving funds, or net income.

$0 is not a statement about local revenue. 90 division rows involving 699 team entries display a $0 posted per-team entry fee, accounting for $0 of the $388,069 calculated scheduled-fee total. These listings still represent activity in the research source. They do not prove the corresponding leagues or tournaments operated free of local charges, nor establish that any undocumented fees existed. No substitute fee has been invented.

Concrete event example: 2021 USSSA State Tournament, June 11–13

The controlling CSV contains six division rows for the historical USSSA event (event ID 348810), all listed at Buck Thomas Park. Each shows the same $275 posted team entry fee. Individual division evidence links are reproduced from the underlying research dataset; their current accessibility may depend on the USSSA platform.

Entry-fee computation: 67 recorded team entries × $275 posted per team = $18,425 in calculated gross scheduled entry fees. Nothing here confirms $18,425 was collected or retained.
Game / officials model: The division-level source rows produce 195 calculated games. At two modeled umpire assignments per game for these six divisions: 195 × 2 = 390 modeled assignments (not 390 distinct umpires, timesheets, completed games or payments).
Illustrative gate for this event: 67 teams × 10 modeled players/team × 2 modeled paid fans/player/day × $5 assumed admission × 3 listed event days = $20,100 hypothetical admissions.
Illustrative concessions: $20,100 hypothetical gate × 50% proxy = $10,050 hypothetical concession-related sales proxy; $10,050 × 20% assumed net margin = $2,010 hypothetical net concession proceeds. No source supplied to this analysis confirms the operator, gross receipts, cost base or net receipts.

Gate and concession estimates: the central research limitation

Every historical division row in this dataset uses an analytical structure of 10 players per team, two modeled spectators per player, $5 assumed admission per spectator and the row’s “TotalEventDays” multiplier. The 50%-of-gate concession column is an additional modeling assumption, not an itemized concession sales register. The following sensitivity analysis shows why those variables must be disclosed instead of being described as historical receipts.

511,487$284,728$384,900$192,450$38,490

Interpretation: Scenario C is not an audited alternative revenue total. It merely excludes two especially conspicuous sources of modeling uncertainty: long-duration league records and five event titles explicitly flagged as rainouts or cancellations. Paid attendance, fee refunds, league admissions, actual concession operations and additional unrecorded cancellations remain unverified under all three scenarios.

Unadjusted admissions model: Σ[team entries × 10 × 2 × $5 × listed days] = $1,871,300. It does not mean $1,871,300 was collected at gates.
Unadjusted concession proxy: $1,871,300 × 0.50 = $935,650. This is not verified concession sales or net proceeds.
Illustrative net concession proceeds: $935,650 × assumed 20% net margin = $187,130; a hypothetical 15%–30% net margin produces approximately $140,348–$280,695. No actual receipts or expenses are available to substantiate these margins.

League rows are especially sensitive to attendance assumptions

78 league-play division rows model $1,362,500 in gate estimates; 48 league-preseason division rows model a further $99,400. Together those 126 rows account for $1,461,900, or approximately 78.1% of the unadjusted $1,871,300 modeled gate. Some league records use a 17–29 day multiplier. That number does not establish how many separately charged admissions actually occurred or whether the same spectator attended every modeled session.

The Moore Girls Softball Association’s current public website distinguishes a stated league gate fee from tournament admission policies. That current page is not historical proof of fees charged at any 2019–2026 event; it simply illustrates why the research file’s uniform $5 multiplier cannot be substituted for event-specific gate records.

Five source titles explicitly identify cancellations

Five events comprising 12 division records contain “rainout,” “rained out,” “cancelled” or “canceled” in their event titles. Together they show 93 listed team entries and $17,940 in calculated posted entry fees, as well as $24,500 in automatic gate projections. These are historical listings, not evidence of completed games, collected admission, unrefunded team payments or actual concessions. We do not remove them from the documented event history, but exclude them in the separate Scenario C analytical screen.

Officiating is also a modeled workforce calculation

The dataset multiplies its calculated games by a division-specific assumed number of officials per game (often one or two), yielding 16,758 official assignments. It then uses a flat $40 modeled payment per assignment, producing $670,320 in modeled officiating costs across these rows. That is neither proof that 16,758 unique individuals worked, nor a payroll ledger, nor a reliable statement that $40 was the actual rate for each event from 2019 to 2026. A public assignment schedule, completed scorecards, invoices and payment records would be required for actual workforce and pay figures.

What public-facility oversight can reasonably ask

Documented use of a field raises legitimate process questions without establishing any wrongdoing. For Buck Thomas Park, Bouse Sports Complex and any school or university sites identified, useful records—if they exist and are lawfully disclosable—may help answer:

  • Authority and access: Which entity approved field dates, what written reservation/lease/use agreements were in force, and what procedures allowed other organizations to seek comparable access?
  • Public financial terms: Were rent, field-lighting, maintenance, security, concession rights, admission rights or revenue shares established in writing? What amounts were invoiced and received by the facility owner?
  • Admissions and concessions: Who was entitled to collect gate and concession proceeds during the relevant historical events, and what independent accounting records document those amounts?
  • Leagues versus tournaments: Did multiweek leagues use different admission rules from weekend events, and were refunds or cancellations handled under a written policy?
  • Multi-site events: How were participating teams and individual games assigned among Buck Thomas Park, associated schools and the university venue?
  • Public return: What recreation access, maintenance improvements, capital funding, youth opportunities or other public benefits were documented alongside the use of taxpayer-funded fields?
Important: These are questions for further records-based inquiry. This report does not claim that any agreement is absent, that admission fees were improperly handled, or that the individual identified in USSSA event listings personally controlled any municipal or facility account.

Original-source historical event ledger: all 83 distinct events

For transparency, the complete table below shows each unique USSSA event URL appearing in the Tony Taylor population. Each event is counted once even when it contains numerous age divisions. Fee and gate entries are sums of those divisions, so they must not be added again to statewide or facility totals already using the same records. Evidence hierarchy and open items

Directly supported by this research dataset: the 2019–2026 USSSA season-label range; 83 event URLs; 289 division rows; names, dates, recorded teams and displayed entry fees; event-site strings and listed locations; and consistent mathematical reproduction of the modeled figures.

Corroborated from public institutional sources: present-day street-address information for the named municipal parks, university campus and two high schools; those sources do not independently verify that every listed historic tournament was fully played at the named venue.

Not established: current USSSA director appointment or personal contract terms; identities of all ultimate organizers and beneficiaries; actual games played and actual umpire headcounts; fee payments, discounts or refunds; spectator attendance; admission and concession receipts; payroll, costs, personal income, profit, tax reporting, facility rental income, or the financial allocation of shared-site events. The research file’s calculated “event net” figure is therefore not presented as verified profit.

Research disclaimer & right of correction

This is an independent educational, historical and public-interest research publication prepared by Baseball Heaven as part of Hidden Valley — Integrity of the Game and Integrity of the Game vs. Economic Impact (Politics): The Oklahoma Business Plan. It is not an official USSSA publication, an audit, a determination of tax liability, a judicial finding, or an allegation of fraud, illegality, misconduct or improper financial handling by Tony Taylor or any other person, tournament operator, municipality, park, school, nonprofit or institution.

Calculated team entry fees are based on listed teams and posted fees. Gate, concessions, financial “net” and official assignments are research models unless independently supported by receipts, schedules, payroll or accounting records. A historical name association does not prove who collected, deposited, owned, disbursed or retained any sums. No conclusion should be drawn about any individual’s actual income, assets, tax filings, integrity or legality from these data alone.

Corrections welcome: Directors, leagues, facilities, families, public agencies and other interested parties are invited to submit event corrections, missing schedules, site allocations, cancellation/refund records or other verifiable documentation to Kenneth@BCMSports.net. Material revisions should be dated, attributed to supporting records where appropriate, and visibly incorporated into the living research archive.

Next in the series

Future profiles will continue examining unique director histories across baseball and softball while avoiding duplicate credit for the same event, municipality or multi-site record. The objective is to help families and taxpayers understand the public record, and to improve the quality of questions asked about youth sports facilities and opportunity.
