Oklahoma's Fields of Accountability

Real Facilities. Real Records. Stronger Communities.

Independent facility-by-facility research into the decisions shaping Oklahoma's publicly funded youth baseball and softball infrastructure.

Oklahoma's Fields of Accountability is a continuing series examining how public sports facilities are managed, who makes decisions about access and use, and how those decisions affect taxpayers, athletes, families, local programs and communities.

Each report draws on available public records, historical research and documented questions. The goal is not to presume wrongdoing, but to identify what the evidence establishes, what remains unanswered and what could improve transparency, fairness and community opportunity.

The Purpose

Publicly supported fields should serve a public purpose. This research examines leases, reservations, fees, oversight, facility investment and program access. It asks whether policies and practices support safe, sustainable youth sports and whether public officials and facility operators provide the accountability communities deserve.
